Fix: Update KB5031356/ KB5031224 Not installing on Windows 10

  • Once done, you can start again to install the latest update on your system.

Fix 7: Restart WIndows Update Service

Another simple solution you can try is restarting the Windows Update Services. If something goes wrong with your system update service, you will no longer be able to install the latest updates. So update the service and install the latest updates. To do so,

  • Open Services screen, then locate and right-click on Windows Update Service, choose Properties from the sub-menu.
  • Then set the Startup service to Automatic and Service Status to Running, save the changes, and you can install the latest updates.
